(20) Fruit store in Ogikubo

A fruit store north of Ogikubo Station (map). Photo from 2012. Old fruit shops / markets are a common examples of billboard architecture in Tokyo, and the most colorful.

Photos from 2016 show that the horizontal sign has been replaced with plywood.

The store is located on a shopping street: なないろこみち七福神(ことぶき通り商店街) nanairo komichi, which means “Seven lucky gods”. Here are some of the gods:
