(2) Ikegami station billboard architecture

The Ikegami 池上 area in Tokyo’s Ota-ku ward is dominated by Ikegami Honmon-ji 池上本門寺, a series of impressive temple buildings perched on a hill with a commanding view of the surrounding neighborhoods (and with a view of Mt. Fuji).

In shadow of the temple are the shopping streets near Ikegami Station 池上駅; this is the Ikegami Line 東急池上線, a secondary train in Tokyo, so the station area is not overly modernized. As a result, there is an impressive collection of kanban kenchiku.
